AMI Montessori Teacher

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and qualified AMI Montessori Teacher to guide children in a prepared Montessori environment. The teacher will support each child’s individual development by following Montessori principles, observing children carefully, and providing appropriate learning experiences that promote independence, concentration, confidence, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain a calm, orderly, and stimulating Montessori prepared environment.
- Follow AMI Montessori principles and practices in daily classroom activities.
- Observe each child and understand their individual developmental needs and interests.
- Present Montessori materials clearly and accurately according to the child’s readiness.
- Encourage children to develop independence, concentration, coordination, and self-discipline.
- Maintain a respectful and positive relationship with children.
- Prepare and organize Montessori materials and classroom activities.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, order, safety, and hygiene.
- Monitor children’s progress and maintain appropriate observation and development records.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding children’s development and classroom experiences.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
- Support classroom routines, celebrations, school events, and other activities when required.
- Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety guidelines.




- Continue professional development and stay committed to Montessori education and lifelong learning.

Required Qualifications

- AMI Montessori Diploma for the appropriate age group (0–3, 3–6, 6–12, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Previous Montessori classroom experience is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine interest in working with young children.
- Patience, empathy, observation skills, and a respectful attitude toward children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.

Preferred Skills

- Strong classroom management skills.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while following Montessori guidelines.
- Professional, caring, patient, and child-centered approach.

Working Conditions

The teacher is expected to work full-time in a Montessori classroom and actively participate in classroom preparation, observations, parent communication, staff meetings, and school activities.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a qualified AMI Montessori qualified who respects the Montessori philosophy, understands child development, observes before intervening, and is committed to creating an environment where every child can develop at their own pace.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
