Designation: Placement Head / Director – Campus Development

Reporting To: Pro-Vost / Vice-Chancellor / Management
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Placement Head / Director – Campus Development to lead the university's placement, corporate relations, student career development, and campus development initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in university/college placement operations, corporate relations, campus development, industry partnerships, student engagement, and employability initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with companies and institutions, improving placement outcomes, developing new industry collaborations, and strengthening the overall campus ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities1. Placement & Career Development
- Develop and implement the university's annual placement strategy and action plan.
- Lead end-to-end campus placement activities for UG, PG, and other academic programs.
- Establish and achieve placement targets, company engagement targets, and student employability goals.
- Identify and invite reputed companies for campus recruitment, internships, projects, and industry engagements.
- Develop opportunities across IT, Core Engineering, Management, BFSI, Healthcare, Education, and other relevant sectors.
- Monitor placement statistics, salary packages, offers, joining status, and student placement outcomes.
- Guide students in aptitude tests, interviews, group discussions, resume building, and career planning.
2. Corporate & Industry Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Leaders, Business Leaders, CEOs, and industry professionals.
- Develop a strong corporate network for regular recruitment and internship opportunities.
- Establish MoUs and strategic partnerships with companies and industry associations.
- Organize industry visits, guest lectures, corporate interactions, seminars, workshops, and leadership programs.
- Identify emerging industry requirements and align student skill development accordingly.
3. Campus Development
- Develop and execute initiatives to strengthen the university's campus development and industry engagement ecosystem.
- Identify opportunities for new academic-industry collaborations and institutional partnerships.
- Support the development of industry-linked programs, finishing schools, certification programs, internships, apprenticeships, and skill-development initiatives.
- Strengthen the university's industry image and employer brand.
- Develop initiatives that improve student participation, employability, entrepreneurship, and professional development.
4. Student Development & Employability
- Develop structured training and employability programs based on industry requirements.
- Coordinate with academic departments to identify student skill gaps.
- Introduce career-readiness programs covering communication, technical skills, aptitude, soft skills, leadership, and workplace readiness.
- Encourage students to participate in internships, live projects, competitions, hackathons, and industry certification programs.
- Mentor placement coordinators and student placement representatives.
5. Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage the Training & Placement / Career Development team.
- Set departmental KPIs and monitor individual and team performance.
- Develop placement calendars and ensure timely execution of all activities.
- Coordinate with Deans, HoDs, faculty members, administration, and senior management.
- Maintain accurate placement records, MIS reports, company databases, and student placement data.
- Prepare regular reports and present placement performance to university leadership.
6. Employer Branding & Institutional Outreach
- Position the university as a preferred recruitment destination for leading organizations.
- Promote the university's student talent pool and academic strengths to prospective employers.
- Participate in industry conferences, HR forums, career fairs, and networking events.
- Develop a strong employer engagement and campus recruitment pipeline.
- Coordinate large-scale recruitment drives, job fairs, pooled campus drives, and industry events.

Educational Qualification
- Master's degree in Management / Business Administration / Human Resources / Education / related discipline.
- Additional qualifications or certifications in Career Development, Corporate Relations, HR, or Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- 10–15+ years of relevant experience in placements, corporate relations, campus recruitment, career development, higher education, or institutional development.
- Candidates with substantial experience as Director – Campus Development, Director – Training & Placement, Head – Placements, Corporate Relations Head, or similar senior leadership roles are preferred.
- Strong experience in building corporate networks and establishing industry partnerships is essential.
- Experience in a university/college workplace will be highly preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The preferred candidate will be a senior education/placement professional with proven experience in Director – Campus Development or a similar leadership role, having a robust corporate network and demonstrated success in improving placements, developing industry partnerships, and creating new opportunities for students and the institution.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
