We are looking for a Staff Nurse with a background in Palliative care/geriatric care/critical care; empathetic, willing to learn and adapt, and with valuable interpersonal and communication skills that foster teamwork. The work involves direct interactions with the community as part of the Home-Care program as well as engaging directly with patients at the Centre. The role would entail being part of the existing team executing projects/programs to strengthen the on-the-ground primary health care ecosystem in the Foundation’s geographical focus areas; and also participate in building Community Structures that are needed on the ground to deliver the program’s objectives. In addition to the regular work of communicating with patients via the home-care program, dispensing medicines, and handling drug stocks, the candidate will also be expected to be part of activities such as data collection, and supervision of field staff and work effectively with the existing health team to implement all aspects of the program.Additionally, the candidate will also work with the field team for better planning, implementation and ensure deliverables are achieved on time.

Education And Experience

- Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice in karnataka.
- Qualification in Palliative/geriatric/Public / Community health preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in nursing, preferably in palliative and/or critical care.



The candidate should have an interest in direct engagement with communities and learning about them.
- Strong knowledge of Kannada is a mandatory requirement; knowledge of Tamil and Telugu is an asset.

The above position involves periodic homecare visits as well as being stationed within the Centre (KC General Hospital, Malleswaram , Bengaluru). The right candidate will be motivated to travel frequently to meet the needs of the program and deliver impact effectively. The right candidate is assured of a deep and first-hand experience in a communitybased approach to building effective rural health systems, and will work under the direct guidance and mentorship of senior professionals.

JOB DETAILS:

Base Location : KC General hospital , Malleshwaram

Working days : Monday-Friday , 1st and 3rd Saturdays ( Sundays and alternate Saturdays are holidays)

Working timings : 9am - 5pm (No night shifts)

Compensation : upto 42k per month ( depending on experience and previous salary)
