We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Marathi Teacher to join our residential school in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Marathi to students from Grades 1 to 8, fostering a rich understanding of the language and Maharashtrian culture. As a residential teacher, you will play an active role in campus life, mentoring students beyond classroom hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Marathi language, literature, and grammar to students in Grades 1 through 8 following the school curriculum.
- Develop engaging lesson plans, activity-based learning modules, and assessment materials suited for young learners.
- Track, evaluate, and report on individual student academic progress and language proficiency.
- Participate actively in boarding school life, including evening study supervision, cultural events, and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive environment for boarding students on campus.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marathi (B.A. Marathi) or related field M. A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of teaching Marathi to primary/middle school students (freshers with strong language skills and a passion for teaching may also apply).
- Language Skills: Native-level fluency in spoken and written Marathi, with working knowledge of English and Hindi to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Residential Readiness: Willingness to reside full-time on campus and contribute to pastoral care duties.
