About the Role

We are looking for a PPC Engineer / Executive to manage production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and production tracking for our custom engineering and industrial automation projects.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the right material, manpower, machines, and components are available at the right time to achieve project and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on project priorities and delivery schedules.
- Plan and monitor production activities for fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and subcontracting.
- Study BOMs, engineering drawings, and project requirements to prepare production schedules.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality, and Assembly teams.
- Check material availability against production requirements and follow up on shortages.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of raw materials, bought-out components, and standard items.
- Release and monitor work orders / job cards according to production priorities.
- Track WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure timely movement of jobs between departments.
- Monitor planned vs. actual production and identify delays.
- Follow up with internal departments and outside vendors/subcontractors for pending jobs.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain production schedules, pending-job reports, material shortage reports, and PPC MIS.




- Prioritize jobs based on customer delivery commitments and project requirements.
- Escalate critical material, manpower, machine, quality, or production delays to management.
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors to ensure adherence to the production plan.
- Monitor project-wise progress and support on-time delivery.
- Prepare regular production status reports for management.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of PPC, production planning, scheduling, and WIP management.
- Experience in machine manufacturing, automation, SPM, fabrication, or engineering industries preferred.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Good communication skills.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in custom machine manufacturing, industrial automation, SPM manufacturing, project-based manufacturing, or engineering companies will be preferred.
