Job Summary
The Executive – DGFT Documentation will be responsible for managing all activities related to DGFT licenses, import documentation, customs coordination and banking documentation. The role ensures compliance with DGFT, Customs, RBI, and DCGI regulations while facilitating smooth import operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end processing of DGFT applications, including:
- Advance Authorization (Fresh & Amendment)
- Redemption of Advance Authorization
- EPCG License Redemption
- RoDTEP Applications
- Ensure 100% compliance with DGFT policies, notifications, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor utilization of Advance Authorization Licenses to prevent defaults or penalties.
- Prepare documentation for Advance Authorization registration, bond execution, and bond cancellation with Customs.
- Coordinate with DGFT, Customs Authorities, and other Government Departments for approvals, clarifications, and issue resolution.
- Manage complete import documentation, including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading/Airway Bill
- Certificate of Origin
- Insurance Documents
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transporters to ensure timely customs clearance and shipment movement.
- Track import ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with banks for obtaining pending Electronic Bank Realisation Certificates (e-BRCs) and reconcile proceeds.
- Process and submit applications for Import License (Form 10) with DCGI.
- Maintain accurate records of licenses, shipping documents, statutory approvals, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure timely submission of documents and maintain compliance with applicable government regulations.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Sound knowledge of DGFT Policies,
FTP, Customs Procedures, and Import Regulations.
- Experience in Advance Authorization, EPCG, and RoDTEP schemes.
- Familiarity with Customs Clearance and Freight Forwarding processes.
- Experience in handling HSBC DigiTrade or similar trade finance platforms.
- Knowledge of DCGI Import License (Form 10) procedures.
- Strong documentation and record management skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills with Government Authorities, Customs, Banks, and Logistics Partners.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Science, Pharmacy, or Business Administration.
- Diploma/Certification in Import Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in DGFT, Import Documentation, Customs, and Trade Compliance, preferably in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Manufacturing industry.

- 100% compliance with DGFT, Customs, RBI, and DCGI regulations.
- Zero penalties due to non-compliance or delayed obligation fulfillment.
- Timely customs clearance of import shipments.
