Job Title: Deputy Medical Superintendent

Location: Velamadam, Nagercoil (Kanyakumari District)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, responsible, and agile Deputy Medical Superintendent to support the overall medical and administrative operations of the hospital. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Medical Superintendent and hospital management to ensure efficient clinical services, patient safety, quality standards, and smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Medical Superintendent in managing day-to-day hospital operations.
- Coordinate and monitor the functioning of various clinical and medical departments.
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical quality.
- Coordinate with consultants, doctors, nursing staff, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor doctor duty schedules, attendance, and departmental coordination.
- Address patient and attendant concerns and facilitate timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor medical documentation, records, and reporting systems.
- Support implementation of quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
- Coordinate emergency and critical situations with the concerned medical teams.
- Assist management in recruitment, credentialing, and performance monitoring of medical staff.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings and follow up on action points.




- Coordinate with administrative departments to ensure smooth hospital functioning.
- Assist in maintaining discipline, professionalism, and effective communication among medical staff.
- Prepare and review medical reports, statistics, and operational updates for hospital management.
- Support accreditation, audits, inspections, and statutory compliance activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: MBBS is required; MD/MS/DNB or MBA in Hospital Administration/Healthcare Management preferred.
- Relevant experience in hospital administration or clinical management preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good understanding of hospital operations, clinical protocols, and patient-safety standards.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, administration, and management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a patient-focused approach.
