Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Export & Import Banking Operations professional responsible for managing banking, foreign exchange, and trade finance activities related to import and export transactions.

The role requires hands-on experience in LCs, bank guarantees, remittances, export/import documentation, RBI/FEMA compliance, foreign exchange transactions, and coordination with banks.

Key Responsibilities

Export Banking Operations

Handle export documentation under LC, DP, DA and Advance Payment terms.

Scrutinize export documents as per UCP 600, ISBP and LC terms.

Coordinate with banks for negotiation, collection, discounting and realization of export bills.

Monitor export bill realization and ensure timely closure in EDPMS.

Follow up with banks for pending export payments.

Trace inward remittances (MT103/MT202) and resolve payment discrepancies.

Arrange BRC/e-BRC and other export-related certificates.

Import Banking Operations

Open Import LCs – Sight & Usance.

Process LC amendments.

Arrange import remittances under Advance, DA, DP and Open Account terms.

Coordinate with banks for import bill retirement and acceptance.





Ensure timely closure of import transactions in IDPMS.

Verify shipping documents including:

Commercial Invoice

Packing List

Bill of Lading

Certificate of Origin

Insurance Certificate

Documentation & MIS

Maintain records of LC openings, amendments, remittances, export collections and import payments.

Prepare MIS reports related to Forex Exposure, Outstanding Export Bills, Import Liabilities and Forward Contracts.

Ensure compliance with applicable RBI/FEMA and banking regulations.

Qualification

M.Com / MBA (Finance)

Candidate Profile

2–3 years of relevant experience in Export/Import Banking Operations.

Strong experience in post-shipment export documentation.

Hands-on knowledge of LC, export/import bills, remittances and foreign exchange transactions.

Good coordination skills with banks and internal departments.

Knowledge of RBI/FEMA, EDPMS and IDPMS will be preferred.
