Illusiview is looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of short-form content and social media platforms, especially Instagram.

You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging, visually appealing videos that capture attention and communicate stories effectively. If you enjoy experimenting with editing styles, keeping up with social media trends, and creating content that people want to watch, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit engaging short-form videos for Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms.
- Create Reels, promotional videos, branded content and other social media content.
- Use effective cuts, transitions, text, effects, music and sound design to create engaging edits.
- Maintain strong pacing and visual storytelling throughout each video.
- Stay updated with current Instagram, YouTube and social media trends.
- Adapt editing styles based on different brands, audiences and content requirements.
- Work closely with content creators, designers and the social media team to understand creative briefs and execute them effectively.
- Add basic motion graphics, animations and text effects where required.
- Perform basic colour correction and colour grading to maintain visual consistency.
- Organize project files and deliver videos according to required formats, resolutions and deadlines.
- Review final videos to ensure quality, accuracy and consistency before delivery.

Requirements

- 1+ years of experience in skilled video editing is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Good understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form content formats.
- Strong sense of video pacing, storytelling and visual composition.
- Good understanding of music selection, sound design, transitions and editing techniques.
- Basic knowledge of colour correction and colour grading.




- Ability to understand creative briefs and independently execute edits.
- Positive awareness of current social media trends and content formats.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Portfolio or showreel is required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and basic motion graphics.
- Familiarity with Photoshop or Illustrator for creating simple graphics.
- Experience working with brands, social media content or digital marketing agencies.
- Understanding of social media analytics and audience retention is an added advantage.
- Creative problem-solving ability and willingness to experiment with recent editing styles.
- Open to feedback and comfortable working as part of a creative team.
