Position: Forensic Auditor
Location: Nigeria
Industry: Oil & Gas//EPC
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Forensic Auditor to investigate financial irregularities, fraud, misconduct, and control weaknesses. The role will involve conducting detailed financial investigations, analyzing transactions and records, identifying risks, and preparing clear, evidence-based reports for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic audits and investigations into suspected fraud, financial misconduct, and irregular transactions.
- Review financial statements, accounting records, invoices, contracts, payments, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial data to identify unusual transactions, discrepancies, fraud indicators, and control weaknesses.
- Perform fraud risk assessments and recommend appropriate internal controls.
- Conduct interviews and gather, preserve, and document relevant evidence.
- Investigate issues involving procurement, vendor payments, expenses, payroll, inventory, and other financial activities.
- Prepare detailed forensic investigation reports with findings, evidence, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Support management and legal teams in dispute resolution, litigation, and regulatory matters where required.
- Work closely with Internal Audit, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure skilled and ethical handling of sensitive information.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in forensic audit, internal audit, external audit, fraud investigation, or financial investigation.
- Professional certification such as CA/CPA/ACCA/CIA/CFE is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, internal controls, and fraud investigation techniques.
- Excellent skills in financial analysis, data analysis, investigation, and report writing.
- Experience with ERP systems and audit/data-analysis tools is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, integrity, and professional judgment.
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills.

Pay: ₹10,247.71 - ₹90,000.00 per month
