Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of custom applications tailored to meet project requirements. This role serves as the main liaison for coordinating efforts across various teams, ensuring that the application solutions align with business needs. The position requires overseeing the progress of development activities, troubleshooting challenges, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to maintain project momentum and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables.
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster qualified growth and skill development.
- Monitor project timelines and resource allocation to optimize team productivity.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Experience with SAP HANA database concepts and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP programming including object-oriented programming and modularization techniques.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5 development frameworks.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues within SAP environments.
- Understanding of integration methods between SAP and external systems.
