Senior ETL Tester

About the Role

ASYVA InfoTech is looking for an experienced Senior ETL Tester to validate enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines, Snowflake data warehouses, DBT transformation models and source-to-target data flows.

The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills and practical experience in backend data validation, reconciliation, defect management and data-warehouse testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and execute ETL test cases, scenarios and test data.
- Review source-to-target mappings and validate transformation rules.
- Validate Snowflake tables, views and data-processing workflows.
- Test DBT models, dependencies, transformations and data-quality rules.
- Validate full loads, incremental loads and CDC processes.
- Perform record-count, aggregate, duplicate, null and reconciliation checks.
- Write complex SQL queries for backend data validation.
- Test data accuracy, completeness, consistency and integrity.
- Identify, document and track defects through resolution.
- Perform SIT, UAT, regression and production-validation testing.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders.
- Prepare test-execution reports and maintain testing documentation.

Mandatory Skills

- 5+ years of relevant ETL and data-warehouse testing experience.
- Solid hands-on experience with ETL/ELT testing.
- Practical Snowflake testing experience.
- Experience validating DBT models and transformations.




- Advanced SQL and backend data-validation skills.
- Source-to-target mapping and transformation-rule validation.
- Full-load, incremental-load and CDC testing.
- Data reconciliation and data-quality validation.
- SIT, UAT, regression and production testing.
- Experience using defect-management tools such as Jira.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Exposure to ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Matillion or SSIS.
- Understanding of dimensional modelling, fact tables, dimension tables and SCDs.
- Experience with Python-based test automation.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Mandatory Employment Requirements

- Verifiable PF documentation and employment history are mandatory.
- Candidates must be comfortable completing background verification.
- Selected candidates may need to visit the office for up to one week after joining for onboarding and laptop collection.
- The position will be remote after successful completion of onboarding.
