Job Title: Maintenance Manager (Open-End Spinning)

Job Purpose: The Maintenance Manager leads the mechanical, electrical, and utilities maintenance teams to ensure peak operational reliability of a 24/7 automated Open-End (OE) Spinning Mill. This role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime, maximizing yarn quality consistency, managing spare parts inventory, and optimizing utility systems (Humidification, Compressed Air, and Power).

Core Responsibilities: Machinery Maintenance & Reliability

- Execute PM Schedules: Design and implement Preventive and Predictive Maintenance schedules for Blowroom, Carding, Draw Frames, and OE Spinning Frames.
- Rotor Line Optimization: Oversee high-speed rotor checks, twin-disc alignments, opening roller conditioning, and automated piecing unit calibrations.
- Troubleshoot Quality Issues: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to eliminate mechanical faults causing yarn defects like Moire effects, thick/thin places, or high end-breaks.
- Carding Overhauls: Manage wire mounting, grinding schedules, and setting optimizations for Carding flats to ensure efficient fiber opening.

2. Plant Utilities & Facilities Management

- Humidification Systems: Maintain precise control over plant Relative Humidity (RH%) and temperature parameters to ensure optimal fiber processing.
- Compressed Air Infrastructure: Manage high-capacity air compressors and pneumatic lines to guarantee reliable pressure for automated machinery.
- Dust & Waste Extraction:



Oversee central filtration and suction networks to minimize ambient fly, dust, and lint accumulation.
- Energy Management: Monitor plant energy consumption and implement power-saving initiatives on heavy motor drives.

3. Team Leadership & Safety

- Resource Deployment: Supervise, train, and allocate tasks to shift engineers, mechanical fitters, and electrical technicians.
- Implement TPM & 5S: Establish Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices and autonomous maintenance routines for shop-floor operators.
- Workplace Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, machine guarding, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and statutory compliance.

4. Inventory & Vendor Management

- Spare Parts Control: Maintain optimum stock levels of critical, high-wear OE parts (rotors, navels, bearings, belts, and electronic cards) without overstocking. [1]
- OEM Collaboration: Coordinate with equipment manufacturers (e.g., Saurer, Rieter, Truetzschler) for upgrades, structural overhauls, and warranty claims.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Textile Engineering.
- Experience: 8 to 15 years of maintenance experience in a cotton spinning mill, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role specifically within an Open-End (OE) facility.
- Machinery Expertise: Hands-on experience with automated OE frames (e.g., Saurer Autocoro, Rieter R-series, Schlafhorst) and high-production carding lines.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
