Job Description – Assistant Manager – HR

Job Purpose

To manage and coordinate day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, manpower planning, payroll support, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and HR documentation while ensuring smooth implementation of company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure adequate staff and worker manpower as per operational requirements and coordinate replacement for vacant positions.

· Handle end-to-end recruitment and manpower requisition activities in coordination with the concerned departments.

· Manage employee onboarding, induction, orientation, and documentation for new joiners.

· Ensure accurate and timely attendance management and coordinate with the reporting manager for payroll processing.

· Verify attendance, overtime, leave, shift, and other payroll-related inputs to ensure error-free salary processing.

· Maintain and update employee records and HR databases in the HR software, including new joiners, transfers, salary revisions, and exits.

· Coordinate employee exit formalities, full & final settlement, and required documentation.

· Handle and resolve employee grievances in a timely and effective manner.

· Organize and coordinate employee engagement activities, welfare programs, and HR initiatives.

· Conduct and maintain records of committee meetings and ensure timely completion of related activities.

· Prepare and submit monthly HR reports, including manpower, MC, GPA, statutory advantages, PF files, attendance, absenteeism, attrition, and other management reports.

· Coordinate with Head Office and concerned departments for HR-related requirements and approvals.

· Support and ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, company policies, and HR procedures.

· Coordinate and support internal and external HR audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

· Maintain required statutory registers, records, notices,



and HR documentation.

· Monitor employee welfare facilities, housekeeping, canteen, transportation, safety, and other employee-related requirements.

· Support performance management, employee counselling, training, and development activities.

· Ensure proper communication of company policies, procedures, notices, and HR-related information to employees.

· Prepare HR MIS and provide accurate and timely reports to management.

· Identify HR-related issues and recommend suitable solutions to improve employee engagement, productivity, and retention.

· Perform any other HR-related responsibilities assigned by the management.

· Employee documentation and exit formalities

Qualification

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent HR qualification preferred.

Experience

5–8 years of relevant experience in HR, preferably in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or a similar operational environment.

Skills Required

· Strong knowledge of HR operations and employee relations

· Knowledge of payroll, attendance, leave, and overtime management

· Basic knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Problem-solving and grievance-handling skills

· HRMS/HR software knowledge

· MS Excel and MS Office skills

· Team management and coordination skills

· Good documentation and reporting skills

· Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
