Director -Accounts Payable Supplier Lifecycle Intelligence Gurugram, HR, India(Hybrid) **Job Description** The Director, Accounts Payable Supplier Lifecycle Intelligence will lead advanced analytics and AI-driven insights across the end-to-end supplier journey, targeting, onboarding, activation, and payment volume. This role will unify currently fragmented analytics across Accounts Payable performance, supplier portfolio strategy, and enablement to drive improved supplier activation, acceptance, and spend outcomes. This role will enable a lifecycle-driven approach to supplier performance, improving conversion, accelerating decision-making, and driving sustainable growth in payment volume in partnership with GCS and GMNS strategic partners. It will also leverage AI, Generative AI and advanced analytics to enhance supplier insights, automate decisioning, and unlock new opportunities across the supplier lifecycle. **Responsibilities** + Lead and develop a high-performing team across multiple analytics domains + Own and drive optimization of analytics across the supplier lifecycle (target ? onboard ? activate ? spend) + Define and standardize lifecycle KPIs (activation, acceptance, payment volume) + Translate insights and GenAI-driven outputs into actionable recommendations to drive conversion and volume growth + Partner with AP, Supplier Enablement, and Commercial teams to influence strategy and execution + Establish consistent reporting frameworks and a single view of supplier performance + Lead the adoption of Generative AI and advanced analytics to enhance supplier targeting, onboarding, and engagement strategies + Lead the adoption and scaling of Generative AI and advanced analytics use cases (e.g., predictive activation models, intelligent supplier segmentation, automated insight generation)
to enhance supplier lifecycle performance + Partner with technology and data science teams to embed AI/ML and GenAI capabilities into analytics workflows and decision-making processes + Drive intelligent automation of reporting, insight generation, and supplier intelligence through AI-enabled capabilities + Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and outcome-driven insights + Strengthen analytical rigor, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement across the team **Qualifications** + Strong experience in advanced analytics and AI-driven insights, strategy, or business intelligence (payments/B2B preferred) + Minimum 10 years of experience (up to 2 years of experience in GEN AI) + Basic understanding of LLM concepts + Familiarity with AI/ML and Generative AI concepts and their application in analytics, decisioning, or business processes + Experience working with data science teams or deploying AI-driven solutions in a business environment preferred + Proven ability to drive business outcomes through data and insights + Experience leading teams and working across multiple stakeholders + Strong communication and executive storytelling skills At American Express, our culture is built on a 175-year history of innovation, shared values (https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/company/who-we-are/) and Leadership Behaviors, and an unwavering commitment to back our customers, communities, and colleagues.
