**Job Description Summary** The Graduate Engineer Trainee will support day-to-day manufacturing engineering activities for GE HealthCare Ultrasound products. The role will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, EHS, and other cross-functional teams to support production, equipment calibration and validation, quality issue resolution, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world. **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** + Support day-to-day manufacturing activities for Ultrasound products and work with the manufacturing team to maintain smooth production operations. + Assist in identifying, investigating, and resolving manufacturing and product quality issues using structured problem-solving approaches. + Support equipment calibration activities according to established schedules and maintain accurate calibration records and reports. + Participate in verification and validation activities related to manufacturing equipment and production processes and support preparation of associated reports. + Support installation, qualification, and maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, tools, jigs, and fixtures. + Assist with identification and ordering of tools and equipment required for manufacturing operations. + Support timely review and disposition of non-conforming materials from the production line and help maintain the designated non-conforming product area. + Work with cross-functional teams and Supplier Quality Engineering to investigate rejected materials and support corrective actions. + Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on component rejections, rework activities, and manufacturing-related quality concerns. + Support preparation and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions,



including revision control and change implementation. + Support preparation and maintenance of Device History Records and other required manufacturing documentation. + Support communication and distribution of engineering changes across relevant cross-functional teams. + Assist with training manufacturing team members on changes to work instructions, processes, and applicable manufacturing requirements. + Participate in improvement projects addressing product quality, cost, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency. + Support EHS initiatives and follow applicable environmental, health, and safety requirements. + Assist in maintaining inventory and traceability of capital equipment and manufacturing assets. + Participate in Poka-Yoke projects involving jigs and fixtures to simplify processes and reduce opportunities for manufacturing errors. + Support Kaizen and other continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing lines. + Participate in Lean Action Work Outs and other Lean manufacturing activities across the site. + Learn and apply GE HealthCare manufacturing, quality, compliance, and operational processes while developing technical and professional capabilities. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bio-Medical, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline. + Recent graduate or early-career candidate with an interest in manufacturing engineering, production operations, and quality. + Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, quality concepts, and problem-solving methodologies. + Ability to work effectively with manufacturing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.



+ Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation. **Desired Characteristics** + Academic project, internship, or practical exposure to a manufacturing or production environment. + Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, 5S, or other continuous improvement concepts. + Familiarity with equipment calibration, verification, validation, or preventive maintenance concepts. + Exposure to quality tools such as root cause analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone analysis, or CAPA concepts. + Basic awareness of non-conforming material management and engineering change processes. + Interest in developing a career within medical device manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, operations, or quality. + Solid learning agility, attention to detail, teamwork, and a continuous improvement mindset. **Inclusion and Diversity** GE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
