Position title: Advanced Engineer data

Roles & responsibilities:

- Design and develop data pipelines and solutions for reporting and analytics with moderate guidance.
- Contribute to building and maintaining ETL processes and data workflows, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Diagnose and fix issues in data systems; participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Monitor the performance of databases and data pipelines, suggesting basic optimizations.
- Ensure data quality by performing validation, cleansing, and consistency checks.
- Support patching and updates to keep applications and data platforms secure and up to date.
- Participate in integrating new platforms or tools into existing environments and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile practices (sprints, standups, retrospectives).
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members on basic tasks and share knowledge within the team.

Experience required:

- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Positive understanding of data structures, databases, and programming fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, or Scala).
- Practical experience working with SQL/PL-SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).




- Exposure to data modeling, ETL concepts, and data warehousing solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Data Lake).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure for running and supporting data workloads.
- Experience using version control tools (e.g., Git) in a team environment.
- Ability to manage tasks independently, while also contributing as part of a team.
