Job DescriptionRole Summary
nWe are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in MES integration with shopfloor equipment. The candidate will be responsible for enabling seamless data exchange between manufacturing systems and enterprise platforms, ensuring real-time visibility and control of production processes.
nKey Responsibilities

- n
- Implement MES integration with shopfloor equipment (PLCs, CNCs, sensors, vision systems)n
- Configure and manage communication using industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus and SECS/GEMn
- Integrate MES with SCADA/HMI and enterprise systems (ERP, databases)n
- Develop APIs and middleware for data acquisition and orchestrationn
- Enable real-time production tracking, machine monitoring, and reportingn
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across hardware and software layersn
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security compliancen
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, IT, and digital transformationn

nRequired Skills

- Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron)n
- Robust understanding of MES systems and ISA-95 architecturen
- Experience with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocolsn
- Knowledge of OPC UA architecture and implementationn
- Programming experience in Python / Java / .NETn
- Database knowledge (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)n

- Experience with Industry 4.0 / IIoT implementationsn
- Exposure to vision systems integrationn
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure / AWS IoT)n
- Experience in manufacturing industries (Automotive, Electronics, Pharma, FMCG)n
- Knowledge of SECS/GEM with GEM II standardn
- Experience working with the Ignition Event Streams modulen
- Experience working with Apache Kafka (both producer and consumer side).n
