Job DescriptionRole Summary
nThe Assistant Manager / Manager – Payroll will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations while also preparing, analyzing, and presenting payroll and people-related reports for internal stakeholders. This role requires solid attention to detail, sound knowledge of statutory compliance, and the ability to translate payroll data into clear, actionable insights for management.
nKey Responsibilities
nPayroll Management

- Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processing for employees accurately and on timen
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, labor laws, etc.)n
- Handle payroll inputs including attendance, leaves, overtime, incentives, deductions, and reimbursementsn
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors (if applicable)n
- Address payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies efficientlyn
- Support audits by maintaining accurate payroll records and documentationn

nStakeholder Reporting & Analysis

- Prepare periodic payroll and workforce reports for senior management and stakeholdersn
- Generate MIS reports related to headcount, cost analysis, attrition, and payroll trendsn
- Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and cost-saving opportunitiesn
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of reportsn
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and manpower planning through payroll data insightsn

nProcess Improvement & Controls

- Assist in improving payroll processes, controls, and reporting mechanismsn
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of employee informationn
- Support system enhancements and automation initiatives related to payroll and reportingn

nQualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related fieldn
- 9 – 12 years of experience in payroll processing and reporting (Manager–level exposure preferred)n
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and labo
