Job DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Individuals & Societies (I&S;) Teacher to join our IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in history, geography, economics, political science, or related disciplines and be committed to fostering inquiry-based learning. This role involves delivering an engaging, interdisciplinary curriculum that develops students' critical thinking, global awareness, and research skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Teaching & Learning Deliver inquiry-based and concept-driven lessons that align with the IB MYP framework. Foster a student-centered classroom setting that encourages discussion, analysis, and independent thought. Use a variety of teaching methodologies, technology, and real-world case studies to enhance student engagement. Assess student progress using IB assessment criteria, formative and summative assessments . Provide individualized support to students, addressing diverse learning needs. 2.



Curriculum Development & Collaboration Plan and implement the MYP I&S; curriculum , ensuring alignment with IB philosophy and standards. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units (IDUs) that connect I&S; with other subjects. Integrate ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills and IB Learner Profile attributes into daily teaching. Contribute to curriculum review and continuous improvement initiatives. 3. Assessment & Reporting Design and administer assessments based on MYP assessment criteria . Provide constructive feedback to students, helping them reflect and improve their learning. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences . 4.
