nMAYU is looking for a talented freelance Handbags & Lifestyle Accessories Designer to collaborate on the design and development of our upcoming collection, launching in early September.
nOur new collection will explore the intersection of luxury craftsmanship and material innovation, featuring fish leather alongside other next-generation sustainable leather alternatives. We are looking for a designer who can create timeless, commercially viable products while embracing the unique characteristics of innovative materials.
nWhat you will do:

- Design a capsule collection of handbags and lifestyle accessoriesn
- Develop mood boards, concept directions, colour palettes, and material combinationsn
- Create detailed design sketches and technical drawingsn
- Prepare tech packs with construction details, dimensions, hardware specifications, and finishing notesn
- Collaborate closely with our founder and manufacturing partners during product developmentn
- Refine designs based on prototyping and material constraintsn
- Help build a cohesive collection aligned with MAYU's premium brand visionn
nWe are looking for someone who has:

- n
- Experience designing handbags, leather goods, or lifestyle accessoriesn
- A solid portfolio demonstrating contemporary, premium product designn
- Knowledge of bag construction, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processesn
- Experience preparing production-ready tech packsn
- Strong understanding of luxury aesthetics, functionality, and user experiencen
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently within tight timelinesn
