ROLEnThe Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for the psychological assessment and management of patients presenting with a range of emotional, behavioural, psychological, and adjustment-related concerns.
nThe role involves independent clinical work as well as appropriate collaboration with other healthcare professionals when a multidisciplinary approach is indicated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESn• Conduct structured clinical interviews and comprehensive psychological assessments.
n• Establish appropriate clinical formulations based on presenting concerns, history, behavioural patterns, psychosocial factors, and available clinical information.
n• Use standardized psychological and psychometric assessments appropriately and within professional scope.
n• Identify psychological, emotional, behavioural, and psychosocial factors contributing to the patient's presentation.
n• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and formulation.
n• Provide evidence-based psychological interventions appropriate to the patient's clinical needs.
n• Monitor treatment response and review clinical outcomes over the course of care.
n• Conduct appropriate risk assessment, including assessment of self-harm, suicide risk, abuse, neglect, or other relevant safeguarding concerns.
