You will receive structured, paid training in New Zealand accounting standards, taxation, and business practices, with ongoing mentoring and support from our experienced accounting team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing annual financial statements * Preparing GST returns * Preparing income tax returns * Bookkeeping * Payroll processing * Bank reconciliations * Preparing working papers * Reviewing financial information * Assisting senior & other accountants * Communicating with clients via email * Maintaining accurate client records ⸻ What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: * Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field * Have accounting experience (preferred) * Have strong written and spoken English communication skills * Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Be able to manage deadlines and work independently * Be a positive team player with a willingness to learn * Be proficient in Microsoft Excel * Have experience with Xero or other accounting software (advantage but not essential) Recent graduates with excellent academic resu
