ROLE PURPOSE

Own end-to-end delivery of Vertvista's large-scale landscape projects in Mumbai and the MMR from work

order to final certification and billing closure.

The role carries full accountability for the site: leading supervisors and site teams to daily targets, coordinating

with the client and the landscape consultant, securing approvals, managing vendors and the material supply

chain, and driving billing and certification to closure without leakage. You are the single owner of programme,

quality, cost and client relationship on your projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Site Execution & Team Management

- Lead site supervisors, gardeners and contract teams across active projects; set daily targets, allocate

manpower and review completion at the end of each day.

- Build and maintain the project execution schedule; track actual progress against baseline, identify slippage

early and put recovery plans in place.

- Conduct daily site visits and reviews; enforce workmanship quality, finishing standards, housekeeping and

site safety.

- Run toolbox briefings, monitor attendance and site discipline, and escalate non-performance with evidence.
- Sequence work with civil, MEP, waterproofing, interiors and other agencies working on the same site.

2. Client Communication and Coordination

- Act as Vertvista's single point of contact for the clients project, PMC and facilities teams.
- Attend and lead site review meetings; issue minutes, action trackers and weekly progress reports.
- Give the client early, honest visibility of risks, delays and cost implications.
- Manage snag lists through to closure and secure client sign-off at handover.

3. Landscape Consultant Coordination and Approvals

- Coordinate with the landscape consultant / architect on design intent, GFC drawings, revisions and site

queries.

- Raise and track RFIs, submittals, method statements and mock-ups; keep the drawing register current.
- Obtain all necessary approvals material and plant samples, shop drawings, deviations and extra items

in writing, before execution begins.

- Coordinate site access, work permits and statutory or society approvals where applicable.

4. Vendor Management

- Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage vendors and subcontractors across civil and hardscape,

waterproofing, irrigation, planters, soil media and plant supply.

- Issue clear scopes of work, agree rates and timelines,

and hold vendors to quality and schedule.
- Verify and certify vendor work done; check vendor bills against measurements and release for payment.
- Build and maintain a reliable vendor and nursery panel for the Mumbai / MMR region.

5. Supply Chain & Material Management

- Prepare material indents and delivery schedules aligned to the execution programme; coordinate with

procurement on purchase orders and rate comparisons.

- Plan plant supply, hardening and staging from nurseries; manage transport, inward inspection, site storage

and protection.

- Track material issued against material consumed; control wastage, damage and pilferage, and reconcile at

project close.

- Anticipate long-lead items and prevent site stoppages from material shortfalls.

6. Presentations & Project Documentation

- Prepare client-facing presentations proposed schemes, progress reviews, option studies and handover

decks.

- Maintain the complete project documentation set: drawing register, approved samples, method statements,

daily progress reports, photo records and correspondence.

- Compile handover and building documents at completion — as-built drawings, warranty certificates, plant

schedules, maintenance manual and O&M; documentation.

7. Billing, Certification & Commercial Control

- Prepare and submit RA bills with measurement sheets, abstracts and supporting records; follow up until

certification and payment release.

- Raise variations and extra items with approved rates and written client authorisation before the work is

done.

- Own the project budget — track actual cost against BOQ, control site overheads and protect project margin.
- Drive project completion certification and final account settlement; hand over cleanly to the maintenance /

AMC team.

- Report weekly to the Directors on progress, cost, manpower, risks and collections.

REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years in landscape, horticulture or landscape-civil project execution, with at least 3–4 years

independently managing projects end to end.

- A demonstrable track record of executing multi-crore landscape projects from work order through to

handover, final certification and account closure.

- Proven hands-on experience across the full cycle: supervisor and site-team management, client

communication, landscape consultant coordination, approvals, vendor management, supply chain, billing

and certification.

- Strong technical grounding in landscape execution — softscape and hardscape, planting and soil media,

drainage and the waterproofing interface, irrigation systems, and plant material knowledge.

- Ability to read and work from landscape drawings, layouts, sections and details; confident interpreting a

BOQ and checking quantities on site.

- Proficiency in MS Excel — measurement sheets, RA bill workings, material reconciliation, cost trackers and

progress reports. Comfort with lookups, pivots and formula-driven trackers is expected.

- Proficiency in PowerPoint for client presentations and progress reviews.
- Fluent in English and Marathi — both are required for this role.
- Based in Mumbai / MMR and able to travel across sites daily. Candidates residing in or near Navi Mumbai are

preferred. Own vehicle preferred.

- Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscape Architecture, Botany or Civil Engineering — or

equivalent depth of field experience.

VALUABLE TO HAVE

- Execution experience on corporate campuses, IT parks, large residential townships or institutional projects.
- Green wall / vertical garden, terrace and podium garden, and irrigation-system project exposure.
- AutoCAD drawing reading and basic quantity take-off.
- Experience handing over into an AMC / maintenance contract and supporting the post-handover period.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools or a work-management app.
- An existing vendor, contractor and nursery network across Maharashtra.

COMPENSATION, LOCATION & REPORTING

- Compensation: Commensurate with experience and last drawn CTC.
- Location: Mumbai. Sites across Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Candidates residing in or

near Navi Mumbai preferred.

- Reports to: Directors
- Team: Site supervisors, gardeners and site teams; works closely with procurement, design/estimation and accounts.
- Employment: Full-time, permanent. Field-based role with office reporting.
