Skills / Knowledge Required:

1. Literature search for different molecules through internet search, Patents search.

2. Knowledge of retrosynthesis for designing route of synthesis for various molecules.

3. Thorough knowledge of Organic Chemistry, Spectroscopy, Analytical Chemistry, etc.

4. Knowledge of various reactions like oxidation, reduction, hydrolysis, rearrangements, name reactions.

5. Knowledge of various reagents, catalysts, solvents, etc.

6. Knowledge of chiral chemistry, chiral resolution, isomerism, etc.

7. Knowledge of purification techniques like crystallization, distillation, column chromatography, thin layer chromatography, etc.

Responsibility

1. Planning and execution of various experiments and reactions for process optimization.

2. Analyzing the outcome of trials and implementing the changes accordingly.

3.



Designing new experiments based on the conclusion of previous experiments.

4. Process optimization to develop cost productive & safe processes for APIs and intermediates.

5. Interpretation of various analytical reports, characterization of molecules by NMR, Mass, IR, DSC, TGA, etc.

6. To develop purification processes.

7. To assist seniors for development work of projects.

8. Co-ordination with analytical development Lab (ADL) for routine analysis.

9. Daily reporting to Manager, writing the experiments in Lab Note Books (LNB).

10. Outstation travel & stay at CMO sites for technology transfer at various locations.

11. Lab maintenance, documentation.
