Operating Room Duties
- Give general or regional anesthesia before operations.
- Watch vital signs, blood pressure, and breathing during surgery.
- Change medicine doses to keep the patient secure and free of pain.
- Treat sudden medical problems during surgery
Intensive Care Unit Duties
- Lead the medical care team for critically ill patients.
- Set up and run breathing machines (ventilators).
- Place central lines, arterial lines, and breathing tubes.
- Manage blood pressure, shock, and severe infections.
- Lead emergency response teams (like Code Blue) inside the hospital.
Teamwork and Communication
- Talk with patients and families to explain care plans.
- Work with surgeons, nurses, and other specialists.
- Lead daily rounds to update treatment goals for each patient.
Qualification : MD / DNB / DA / IDCCM
