Responsibilities
* Coordinate monthly consolidation process, including coordinating with local accountants of our international subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate reporting, managing eliminations and foreign currency revaluation.
* Review and upload reporting packages received from local accountants at the international subsidiaries, reconcile inter-company balances and investment in subsidiary
activity, and perform analytical review of international subsidiaries.
* Responsible for month-end close procedures for certain of our subsidiaries, including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis of results.
* Maintain in Oracle monthly and daily foreign currency rates, consolidated chart of accounts and Oracle Financial Statement reports.
* Coordinate statutory audits, and other required reporting, of international subsidiaries. Review statutory financial statements and reconcile to US GAAP.
* Provide support for technical accounting, especially related to lease accounting in accordance with ASC 420 and upcoming ASU 2016-02.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and other deliverables as needed.
* Contribute to the preparation of required quarterly GAAP financial reports.
* Preparation and maintenance of stock accounting schedules and reconciliations.
* Prepare relevant schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits; work closely with external auditors.
* Support accounting teams commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Companys internal controls.
* Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes.
* Help establish and maintain policies and procedures and internal controls.
* Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.
Requirements
* Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
* 3-4+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably a minimum of 2 years in public accounting and a minimum of 1 year in general, international or consolidation accounting. Big 4 experience preferred.
* CPA, CPA eligible or working towards a CPA (strongly preferred).
* In-depth knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) with advanced Excel skills
* Experience with Oracle is a plus.
* Must have the ability to execute multiple tasks, be detail oriented, committed to high quality and have the ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.
