Job Purpose

The Assistant Area Sales Manager Urban Markets is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening channel partnerships across the urban markets of Jammu. The role focuses on achieving sales targets through dealer and distributor management, retail excellence, influencer engagement, and effective execution of sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned urban territory.
- Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors and retail channels.
- Identify new business opportunities and increase market penetration.
- Execute business plans to maximize revenue and profitability.

Channel Management

- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors and dealers.
- Improve channel partner productivity through regular engagement and joint business planning.
- Ensure optimum product availability, stock levels, and merchandising at retail outlets.
- Monitor distributor performance, inventory, and sales coverage.

Retail Excellence

- Expand retail reach by onboarding recent dealers and outlets.
- Conduct regular market visits to ensure visibility, branding, and promotional execution.




- Implement retail activation programs, dealer loyalty initiatives, and promotional campaigns.

Influencer Engagement

- Build strong relationships with painters, contractors, architects, interior designers, fabricators, and other key influencers.
- Organize product demonstrations, training programs, dealer meets, and influencer engagement activities.
- Generate demand through influencer recommendations and referrals.

Market Intelligence

- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and product launches.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Provide regular market feedback and recommend corrective actions.

Customer Service

- Address dealer and customer concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with technical and customer support teams to resolve product-related issues.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.

Collections & Reporting

- Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy receivables.
- Prepare daily sales reports, market visit reports, forecasts, and monthly MIS.
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales pipeline records.
