Function: Regulatory Change Workstream: Regulatory Change
Role Summary
Lead delivery for a Large Global Insurance Company across its Regulatory Change process, with a focus on analysis and monitoring implementation.
This role oversees a team of Consultants and Senior Consultants, ensuring high quality execution, review, and governance of Reg Change activities.
Managers are responsible for end to end planning, resource allocation, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining delivery rigor. The role requires strong subject matter expertise, team leadership, and the ability to operate independently within a global risk environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review Regulatory interpretation Horizon scanning and Change detection
- Lead the planning, distribution, and oversight of activities across the delivery team.
- Review E2E analysis of process documents, audit findings, incidents, regulatory updates, and emerging risk themes prepared by junior team members
- Guide the team in Horizon scanning - interpreting process changes, regulatory updates, incidents, and audit themes to assess risk impacts. Scan recent/change in regulation, Proactively prepare for change, Reference Documents in storage with policy Documents, Maintain version tracking mechanisms
- Ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to methodology in workshops, materials, and submissions.
- Support risk scoring, identification of emerging issues, and escalation of high-impact observations.
2. Regulatory interpretation – Impact analysis
- Oversee the Identification of impacts to internal policies, generating impact appraisals based on specific viewpoints
- Perform second level review of test execution, working papers, and evidence collected.
- Monitor and action on an updates on RAG status
- Review and Document Reg change requirements and Implementation steps
- Validate operating effectiveness
- Review documentation prepared by Consultants (Band 4B) for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with methodology.
Review and manage the Mapping of Requirements for change in Regulations back to Controls
- Oversee the Design of the Control Process and Control Testing - Risk and control identification using the internal risk taxonomy and NFRM vectors with Risks like Business system failure, Model Risk, Erroneous reporting, Inadequate Data Quality and overlayed with our control library from best practices –with Overlay of Generic controls like 4 eye checks, Sample test, Auto Recons
- Ensure compliance with client methodology, standard templates, and audit readiness requirements.
- Support root cause assessment for failed controls and contribute to issue drafting.
- Maintain oversight of remediation logs, issue registries, and risk dashboards.
Delivery Management, Stakeholder Alignment & Governance
- Manage delivery timelines, workload planning, and resource distribution across the team.
- Act as the primary offshore point of contact for onshore client managers, SMEs, and risk partners.
- Escalate risks proactively (evidence gaps, recurring control failures, remediation delays, etc.).
- Ensure accurate maintenance of registers including remediation logs, issue trackers, dashboards, and evidence repositories.
- Drive continuous improvement in documentation quality, process efficiency, and testing discipline.
- Mentor, coach, and upskill junior team members on E2E Regulatory activities

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business, or related fields.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, CISA, or MBA preferred (not mandatory but strongly valued).
- Demonstrated experience in service delivery, guiding junior staff, and working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of Regulatory reports pertaining to Insurance industry, risk management, or process reviews.
- Experience (5- 10 years) in:
- Regulatory Reporting – Horizon scanning.
- Experience in Controls and Reconciliation is highly desirable
- Risk & Compliance
- Ability to assess, and improve Regulatory processes across the organization
- Proficient in preparing process narratives, and high-quality working papers.
- Strong analytical abilities with the capability to interpret complex evidence and identify root causes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing and issue drafting.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and manage deadlines in a global delivery model.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with Reporting tools – powerBI etc, GRC tools, Regulatory reporting platforms (Wolters Kluwers, Axiom etc) or workflow systems.
