Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Agronomist to take full operational charge of our commercial polyhouse facility in Vadodara District. The ideal candidate must have hands-on, end-to-end expertise in year-round commercial cultivation of English Cucumbers and Colored Capsicum (Red/Yellow) using Grow Bags (Cocopeat/Horticulture substrates) and fully automated climate & fertigation systems.

Your core objective will be maximizing crop yield, product quality, and harvest uniformity while optimizing resource usage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Crop & Yield Management

- Manage 365-day cultivation cycles for English Cucumber and Red/Yellow Bell Peppers in grow bag mediums.
- Plan and execute precise crop scheduling, pruning, training, pollination, and harvest management to reach maximum yield and market-grade quality.
- Monitor plant health, root development, leaf area index, and canopy development daily.

2. Automated Systems & Fertigation

- Operate and calibrate fully automated polyhouse control systems (climate controllers, automated fertigation, dosing pumps, EC/pH sensors).
- Design, adjust,



and monitor fertigation recipes based on water analysis, crop growth stage, and climate conditions.
- Maintain strict root-zone management (monitoring runoff percentage, drain EC, and pH).

3. Integrated Pest & Disease Management (IPM)

- Implement preventive plant protection strategies tailored to protected cultivation environments.
- Identify pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies early; execute precise treatment protocols.
- Maintain crop hygiene, sanitation standards, and bio-security measures inside the structure.

4. Farm Operations & Administration

- Provide full-time, in office leadership and direct day-to-day farm labor.
- Track production metrics, input usage, and yield records; report directly to management.
- Manage stock inventories for nutrients, crop protection inputs, and greenhouse consumables.

Candidate Profile & Criteria

Must-Have Qualifications:

- Proven Track Record: At least 4 years of continuous, hands-on experience managing high-tech polyhouses.
- Crop Specificity: Direct expertise in grow bag/cocopeat substrate cultivation for Cucumber and Red/Yellow Capsicum.
- Automation Fluency: Practical working knowledge of automated fertigation, climate control units, and micro-irrigation hardware.
- Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture / Horticulture (or equivalent practical field track record).
- Work Style: Must be willing to reside/be stationed full-time at the farm site in Vadodara District.
