Brief About the Team

The Consumer Products team is a Centre of Excellence within the Category Management vertical of Tata 1mg. The team works closely with the organization-wide leadership, business, product, growth, and category teams to identify and execute opportunities to launch private label products under the Tata 1mg brand.

The team identifies private label product opportunities and develops an in-depth understanding of products to be launched. It collaborates with vendor partners to develop high-quality products and owns the complete product lifecyclefrom conceptualization to driving sales across channels. The projects span across business verticals, including ePharmacy, Institutional Business, eDiagnostics, and Retail.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and curious Category Management Intern to support product launches, market analysis, and day-to-day category operations.



This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to product lifecycle management, vendor coordination, and e-commerce/category strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Category & Product Support

- Assist in identifying new product opportunities and market trends.
- Support product launch activities, including data tracking and cross-functional coordination.
- Help maintain the product catalog, listings, and product information.

Data Analysis & Reporting

- Track category performance, sales trends, and key business metrics.
- Prepare basic MIS reports and dashboards.
- Support pricing analysis and competitor benchmarking.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with vendors for product information, samples, and updates.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Growth, Supply, and Catalog, to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist in resolving day-to-day operational issues.

Marketplace & Listing Support

- Help optimize product listings, including content, images, and product attributes.
- Track listing performance and suggest improvements.

Qualifications

- Graduate or final-year student from any discipline (Business, Pharmacy, Commerce, or related fields).
- Robust interest in E-commerce, Product Management, or Category Management.

Skills & Competencies

- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and data handling.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
