Role & responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per customer requirements.
- Monitor Bright Bar manufacturing processes such as:
- Peeling
- Grinding
- Drawing
- Straightening
- Polishing
- Cutting

- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials.
- Reduce production downtime and improve productivity.

Process & Quality Control

- Maintain product quality as per customer specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC department for inspections and testing.
- Monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish, straightness, and mechanical properties.
- Ensure rejection and rework are minimized.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.

Manpower Management

- Handle shift operations and manpower allocation.
- Train operators and supervisors on SOPs and safety practices.
- Monitor discipline, attendance, and team performance.
- Build a positive and productive work culture.

Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure proper machine condition and availability.




- Monitor critical equipment performance and efficiency.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure implementation of safety standards and PPE usage.
- Follow plant safety rules, ISO standards, and company policies.
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Ensure housekeeping standards (5S) are maintained.

Cost & Productivity Improvement

- Control production cost and reduce wastage/scrap.
- Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Implement Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor energy and consumable usage.

Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare daily production reports and MIS reports.
- Maintain production records, downtime reports, and rejection analysis.
- Coordinate with planning, stores, dispatch, and quality department

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of Bright Bar manufacturing process
- Knowledge of alloy steel grades and heat treatment
- Production planning and shop floor management
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Leadership and team handling
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
- Understanding of ISO, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing
- Good communication and coordination skills
