We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Slitting Machine Helper / Setter to support slitting machine operations and assist in machine setup for production. This role is ideal for Diploma/ITI graduates who are eager to build a career in sheet metal processing and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up the slitting machine as per production requirements.
- Support the machine operator during tool changing, knife assembly, and setup activities.
- Load and unload coils using safe material handling practices.
- Measure and verify slit widths using measuring instruments.
- Ensure the correct tools, spacers, and accessories are arranged before production.
- Assist in routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain housekeeping and follow 5S practices in the work area.
- Identify and report any machine abnormalities or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures and company work instructions at all times.
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
Requirements:
- Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or a related trade.
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal processing industry (Freshers with relevant technical qualifications are also encouraged to apply).
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of machine operation and mechanical components.
- Willingness to learn machine setup and production processes.
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial setting.
