Position Description: The Impact You'll Make

Scalable Architecture: Design and ship high-throughput, low-latency microservices using Java. You'll be responsible for systems that make millions of decisions per second.

Low-Latency Data Mastery: Architect and optimize real-time data layers using Redis or Aerospike to support ultra-fast lookups and state management at scale.

Real-time Data Streams: Architect and optimize data pipelines using Kafka to ensure seamless, real-time communication across our distributed services. Big Data Strategy: Harness the power of GCP BigQuery (or AWS Redshift) to analyze petabytes of data, driving operational efficiency and business intelligence.

AI ML Orchestration: Lead the integration of Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering) and ML models into our real-time bidding or engagement flows. You'll solve the scale problem for AI--ensuring models deliver value without breaking the 5M QPS latency budget.

Technical Autonomy: As a Senior IC, you will own the full lifecyclefrom initial design and break-fix troubleshooting to scaling systems in a cloud-native environment.

Performance Tuning: Occasionally dive into low-level optimizations (C/C++) knowledge is a plus) to ensure our stack remains the fastest in the industry.

Primary Responsibilities: What You Bring

- The Foundation: 4-6 years of experience in Backend Engineering with a deep mastery of Java SQL.




- Streaming Messaging: Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (partitioning, consumer groups, and stream processing).
- In-Memory Stores: Hands-on experience with Aerospike (preferred) or Redis for managing high-concurrency, low-latency workloads.
- Cloud Big Data: Proven track record with GCP (BigQuery) or AWS, specifically in building cost-effective and performant data architectures.
- AI/ML Curiosity: Experience (or a strong technical foundation) in Generative AI and integrating ML models into production backend environments.
- The 'Scale' Mindset: You are comfortable working with Unix/Linux systems and have a high 'figure-it-out' quotient for complex, distributed system bugs.
- Self-Starter DNA: You don't need a hand-hold. You are a self-motivated individual contributor who thrives in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

- Performance Polyglot: Familiarity with C/C++ is a strong differentiator for low-latency optimization.
- AdTech/High-Volume Experience: Previous experience with Real-Time Bidding (RTB) or high-volume transaction systems.
- Documentation Savvy: Ability to write transparent design docs that explain complex technical trade-offs.
