Position description: The role involves overseeing and managing the operations of the SMS Op- Ingot Casting (Pit Casting) department at Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading company in the Mining Metals industry. Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all activities during the shift in the SMS Op- Ingot Casting (Pit Casting) department to ensure continuous and efficient production.
- Monitor and control the ingot casting process parameters to maintain product quality and consistency according to company standards.
- Lead and manage the shift team, including operators and technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of casting equipment and pit facilities to identify and resolve mechanical or process issues promptly.
- Implement and enforce compliance with environmental, health,
and safety regulations specific to metallurgical operations.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and urgent repairs to minimize downtime.
- Analyze production data and generate shift reports highlighting performance metrics, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
- Train and mentor shift personnel on operational best practices, safety standards, and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate with upstream and downstream departments to ensure seamless material flow and timely completion of production schedules.
