Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Panel Engineer who will be responsible for designing solar PV systems, preparing technical and commercial quotations, conducting site assessments, and supporting project execution. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems along with experience in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and customer proposal development.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Engineering

- Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems based on client requirements.
- Perform load calculations, energy generation analysis, and system sizing.
- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), layout drawings, and technical documentation.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies.
- Recommend suitable solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and other BOS components.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and local statutory requirements.

Quotation & Estimation

- Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations for solar projects.
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors to obtain the latest pricing.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and tender documents.
- Analyze project costs to optimize profitability while maintaining quality.
- Support the sales team by providing technical clarifications during client discussions.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with project execution teams for smooth implementation.
- Monitor project timelines and provide technical support during installation and commissioning.




- Resolve technical issues during execution.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and updated.

Client Support

- Attend client meetings and explain technical solutions.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
- Address customer queries related to system design, performance, and project execution.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, or a related field.
- Certification in Solar PV Design (preferred).

Experience

- 38 years of experience in the solar EPC or renewable energy industry.
- Hands-on experience in solar system design and quotation preparation.
- Experience with rooftop, industrial, and commercial solar projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVsyst.
- Knowledge of solar design software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical distribution, and net metering.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and project cost estimation.
- Familiarity with MNRE, DISCOM, and electrical safety standards.
- Knowledge of tender documentation and vendor management.
