Position Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer who can bridge the gap between healthcare systems
and our AI platform. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role that requires both technical
expertise and creativity in working with complex, heterogeneous systems.
You’ll work on integrating directly with EHR APIs, and where APIs are limited, design
technical solutions to extract and interact with data from EHR systems. Your work will
directly enable clinics and patients to experience seamless, automated workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• EHR Integrations
o Connect Health systems with leading EHRs (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth,
etc.) using REST, FHIR, and HL7 APIs.
o Design, implement, and maintain data connectors that reliably push/pull patient
and clinical data.
o Build monitoring and alerting for integration reliability and data integrity.
• Automation & Data Retrieval
• Develop robust solutions to interact with EHR UIs and workflows where APIs are
unavailable.
• Ensure secure, compliant data handling during integration and automation.
• Optimize for resilience, speed, and minimal disruption to clinical operations.
• Collaboration & Delivery
• Work closely with Product, QA, and Forward-Deployed Engineers to validate
integrations against real-world clinic workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data syncing issues in production environments.
• Document integration patterns, edge cases, and reusable modules for scale.
Required Qualifications
• 2–3 years in software engineering, with direct experience in API integrations.




• Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js preferred); familiarity with
Python is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience building automation scripts and interacting with web applications
programmatically.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL + NoSQL) and secure data handling.
• Track record of delivering integrations in complex, high-stakes environments.
Nice to Have
• Prior work with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.).
• Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions,
Firebase).
• Experience in healthcare, healthtech, or regulated industries.
• Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, Recent Relic, etc.) for monitoring integrations.
