Salary Range: Up to 8 LPA per month (Based on experience & competency)
Reporting To: Operations Manager
1. Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing plant maintenance operations to ensure smooth, safe, and uninterrupted production. The role includes preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment reliability improvement, utilities management, and compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Plant & Equipment Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive & predictive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure minimal machine downtime and quick breakdown resolution.
- Maintain critical equipment such as reactors, boilers, pumps, compressors, motors, and utility systems.
- Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and equipment history cards.
B. Utilities Management
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of:
- Electrical systems
- Panels
- Hammer Mill
- Conveyer, Crusher
- Furnace
- Ensure energy efficiency and cost control.
C. Team Management
- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and fitters.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor work completion.
- Conduct technical training for maintenance staff.
D. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Factory Act, electrical safety norms, and statutory compliance.
- Implement safe maintenance practices and permit-to-work systems.
- Coordinate with safety officer for audits and inspections.
E. Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares availability.
- Coordinate with purchase department for vendor development.
- Monitor maintenance budget and control expenses.
F. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and automation.
- Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices.
- Reduce recurring breakdowns through root cause analysis.
3. Qualification & Skills
Education:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in maintenance role (preferably in Chemical / Pharma / Manufacturing industry)
- At least 3 years in supervisory or managerial position
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems
- Experience in chemical plant maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of PLC systems is an added advantage
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership & team handling ability
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and reporting skills

- Breakdown response time
- Maintenance cost control
- Safety compliance record
5. Additional Requirements
- Ready to work in plant setting
- Ability to handle emergency breakdowns
- Strong coordination with production and purchase departments
