Position: Adjunct / Visiting / Guest Faculty - Information Technology Artificial Intelligence, Victoria University, Delhi NCR

Location: Victoria University, Gurugram, Haryana (Delhi NCR)

Position Summary

The Adjunct/Visiting/ Guest Faculty - Information Technology Artificial Intelligence will contribute to teaching, student engagement, industry integration, and curriculum enrichment within the School of Technology. The role is designed for experienced academics and industry professionals who can bring contemporary knowledge, practical expertise, and real-world perspectives into the classroom.

The faculty is expected to teach following courses:

- Introduction to Programming/Database System
- Introduction to Data Science
- Computer Networks
- Web Development and CMS
- Operating Systems

The appointee will support the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, facilitate industry-relevant learning experiences, and contribute to student development through mentoring, project supervision, guest lectures, and academic collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching Learning

- Deliver high-quality teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate IT and AI programs.
- Facilitate learning through face-to-face, online, and blended delivery modes.
- Integrate industry practices, case studies, tools, and emerging technologies into teaching.
- Design and deliver engaging learning activities, workshops, laboratories, and seminars.
- Support project-based, experiential, and work-integrated learning initiatives.




- Contribute to curriculum enhancement and subject development aligned with industry needs.

Student Engagement Mentoring

- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students.
- Support student projects, capstone projects, and practical learning activities.
- Encourage innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Contribute to student employability through industry insights and professional mentoring.

Academic Contributions

- Participate in assessment, moderation, and quality assurance processes as required.
- Contribute to academic discussions, curriculum reviews, and program enhancement initiatives.
- Support accreditation and compliance requirements where relevant.
- Collaborate with full-time faculty on teaching, research, and industry engagement activities.

- Contribute to applied research, consultancy projects, or scholarly activities.
- Maintain professional currency through ongoing engagement with industry, research, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and career development activities.

Qualifications Selection Criteria

- Ph.D. in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Significant industry experience and/or teaching experience in relevant technology domains.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the identified areas of specialisation.
- Experience delivering higher education courses, professional training, or corporate learning programs is desirable.
- Strong understanding of contemporary industry trends, technologies, and practices.
- Ability to effectively engage and inspire diverse student cohorts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
