Multi Service Technician (MST)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Multi Service Technician (MST) for a Residential Housing Society. The candidate will be primarily responsible for electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, along with basic plumbing and general maintenance support within the society premises and residential flats.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance – Primary Responsibility

- Attend and resolve electrical complaints received from society residents and management.

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in flats, common areas and society premises.

- Handle issues related to switches, sockets, lights, fans, MCBs, DBs, wiring and other electrical fittings.

- Repair and replace faulty electrical components whenever required.

- Attend power supply, tripping, short-circuit and minor wiring-related issues.

- Carry out preventive electrical maintenance of common areas.

- Check and maintain electrical equipment, lighting systems and common-area electrical installations.

- Attend emergency electrical complaints promptly.

Residential Flat Maintenance

- Attend maintenance complaints raised by residents inside their flats.

- Carry out minor electrical repairs and maintenance work.

- Identify the problem and either rectify it or report/escalate major issues to the supervisor.

- Maintain proper coordination and professional behaviour while working inside residents' premises.

Basic Plumbing Work

- Handle basic plumbing complaints and minor repairs.

- Attend issues related to taps, faucets, flush tanks, washbasins and minor leakage.

- Replace minor plumbing fittings and accessories when required.

- Identify leakage/blockage issues and carry out basic troubleshooting.

- Coordinate with a specialist plumber for major plumbing work when required.

Society Common Area Maintenance





- Attend electrical and minor maintenance complaints in lobbies, corridors, parking areas, clubhouses, gyms, gardens and other amenity areas.

- Check and maintain common-area lights, fans and electrical fittings.

- Assist in maintaining electrical systems related to society amenities.

- Respond to breakdowns and maintenance complaints as per priority.

Additional Responsibilities

- Maintain daily complaint/maintenance records.

- Follow the society's safety rules and maintenance procedures.

- Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly.

- Maintain cleanliness of the work area after completing the job.

- Coordinate with the Society Manager, Facility Manager, Supervisor and other maintenance staff.

- Attend emergency breakdowns whenever required.

- Support other minor maintenance activities within the scope of technical knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI Electrician / Electrical trade qualification preferred.

- Valuable practical knowledge of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Strong electrical skills are mandatory.

- Basic knowledge of plumbing is required.

- Experience in Residential Housing Society / High-Rise Building / Facility Management will be preferred.

- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve routine electrical complaints.

- Good communication and resident-handling skills.

- Ability to work in shifts and attend emergency complaints when required.

Preferred Experience

2–5 years of experience as an Electrician / Multi Service Technician / Maintenance Technician, preferably in a residential society, high-rise building, clubhouse or facility management environment.
