Qualification: ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Job ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional inspection and measurement of components as per drawings and specifications.
- Operate and handle Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for dimensional and geometric measurements.
- Operate Contour & Roughness Measuring Machines for surface profile and roughness measurement.
- Operate Height Master / Height Gauge for precision dimensional inspection.
- Operate Video Measuring Machine (VMM) for accurate measurement of components and features.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain measurement records.
- Ensure proper handling and care of precision measuring instruments and equipment.
- Identify measurement deviations and report non-conformities.
- Follow laboratory procedures,
quality requirements, and safety practices.
- Maintain equipment and working area in good condition.
- Support calibration and verification activities of measuring instruments.
- Required SkillsGood knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T;.
- Basic understanding of dimensional metrology and inspection methods.
- Practical knowledge of CMM, VMM, contour, roughness and height measurement equipment.
- Ability to analyze measurement results and prepare inspection reports.
- Valuable attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills.
- PreferredExperience in a metrology / dimensional inspection laboratory or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of CMM software such as CALYPSO, PC-DMIS or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge and willingness to learn may also apply.
