Key Responsibilities

- Assembly, fitting and maintenance of progressive, compound, bending and blanking dies.
- Fitting of die components with accurate clearances, alignment and matching.
- Die spotting, trial assembly and correction of fitting issues.
- Reading and understanding tool drawings and component drawings.
- Grinding, filing, lapping and hand-fitting of die components as required.
- Support in die trials, troubleshooting and modifications.
- Ensure proper die quality, accuracy and smooth operation.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of sheet metal press dies and progressive dies.
- Ability to use vernier, micrometer, height gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of fitting tools, grinding and basic machining operations.
- Ability to identify and rectify die-related problems.
- Valuable understanding of tolerances, clearances and die assembly.

Preferred: Experience with automotive/industrial sheet metal dies and press tools.
