- Key ResponsibilitiesOperate Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload components, fixtures, and tools as per production requirements.
- Set work offsets and tool offsets under the guidance of the supervisor (where applicable).
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Ensure components meet quality requirements before submitting them for inspection.
- Change cutting tools and monitor tool wear during machining.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
- Report machine abnormalities, breakdowns, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Record production details and maintain daily production reports.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.




- Required SkillsExperience operating VMC machines.
- Basic understanding of machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Good attention to quality and accuracy.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.
- QualificationITI (Fitter, Turner, Machinist, CNC Operator) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in CNC/VMC operations will be preferred.
- Preferred SkillsExperience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
- Basic understanding of G-Code and M-Code.
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine maintenance.
- Experience working in the machine tool or precision machining industry.
