NJob Summary: A Neurology Medical Coder is responsible for reviewing medical records related to neurological disorders and procedures and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier codes for billing, reimbursement, and compliance purposes. The coder ensures that all coding is completed according to healthcare regulations, payer guidelines, and industry standards

- Review and analyze neurology patient records, physician notes, operative reports, diagnostic reports and code accurately as per the documentation. N
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT procedure codes, and HCPCS codes, modifiers, and units. N
- Should be aware of LCD,MUE, and all the conventions of CPTs and ICDs. N
- Should be aware of neurology-specific procedures N
- Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards. N
- Participate in coding audits and quality reviews. N
- Stay updated on coding guideline changes and neurology-related reimbursement policies. N
