The Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall management supervision discipline and welfare of the hostel residents The warden ensures the hostel operates smoothly safely and in accordance with institutional guidelines 2 Key Responsibilities A Student Welfare Discipline Ensure safety security and well-being of all hostel residents Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules and regulations Address student grievances conflicts and emergencies Conduct regular room inspections and maintain a healthy living environment B Administrative Responsibilities Manage hostel admissions room allotments and occupancy records Maintain attendance leave records and visitor logs of students Prepare and submit periodic reports to the administration Coordinate with security housekeeping and maintenance teams C Hostel Operations Maintenance Ensure cleanliness hygiene and proper upkeep of hostel premises Monitor water supply electricity furniture and other facilities Report maintenance issues and follow up until resolution D Safety Emergency Management Ensure compliance with safety standards fire safety first aid etc Handle medical or disciplinary emergencies promptly Maintain emergency contact lists and protocols 3 Skills Competencies Required Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage adolescents young adults patiently and firmly Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities Organizational and administrative skills Ability to work in stressful situations and handle emergencies Fairness empathy and integrity 4 Qualifications Graduate in any discipline preferred psychology social work management Prior experience as a warden counselor or administrative officer preferred Basic computer proficiency First aid knowledge is an advantage 5 Work Conditions May require being available 24x7 for hostel-related matters Must stay on campus if residential role Work on weekends or public holidays as required Job Types Full-time Permanent Advantages Paid time off Work Location In person
