Job Title Commodity Buyer Mechanical Electronics Parts 10-14 Years Job Location Bengaluru About Veoneer Veoneer is a world leader and over the years Veoneer has delivered more than 1 1 billion electronic control units and crash sensors to car manufacturers globally Owned by AIP and headquartered in the U S Veoneer has approximately 2 550 employees in 11 countries What You ll Do Develop and execute global commodity strategies aligned with Veoneer s purchasing objectives and production requirements Lead supplier selection qualification and performance management ensuring a resilient and optimized supplier base Negotiate commercial terms-including pricing payment delivery and logistics-to secure optimal value for Veoneer Manage sourcing activities for both local and global projects ensuring timely component availability and adherence to cost targets Oversee post-SOP engineering change management and proactively mitigate supply chain risks Collaborate cross-functionally with supplier quality teams design engineers and technical centers to enhance supplier capabilities and performance Coach and mentor junior buyers fostering a high-performing and team-oriented purchasing team Support cost improvement initiatives including VEVA plans tooling cost optimization and supplier consolidation or expansion Ensure compliance with Veoneer s policies standards and global purchasing procedures What You ll Bring Extensive industry experience 10 years in direct material purchasing within the automotive sector with strong exposure to both mechanical and electronic PCBA components Strategic and commercial expertise Demonstrated success in price negotiation sourcing strategy contracting and risk management Project leadership skills Proven ability to manage complex sourcing projects and capital budget planning Technical and regulatory knowledge Familiarity with IATF 16949 ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards Strong communication and coaching abilities Capable of articulating strategies clearly and mentoring team members effectively Fluency in English Excellent verbal and written communication skills Digital proficiency Skilled in MS Office and ERP systems with a detail-oriented approach to data and process management Preferred Qualification Bachelor s degree in engineering - Mechanical Electronics Electrical Contractual Details Type Fixed-Term Contract Duration 12 Months Extension Possibility Subject to business need and individual performance
