Summary of the Role The Mechanic cum Pump Operator is responsible to learn and assist operation monitoring maintenance and also assist in repair of pumps and related mechanical equipment The role to support continuous and productive supply of water fluids or chemicals Assist in maintaining equipment reliability and workplace safety Responsibilities Accountabilities To learn and assist to Operate centrifugal reciprocating submersible and motor-driven pumps To learn and assist to Start stop and regulate pumps to maintain required pressure and flow Monitor pump performance vibration noise and temperature Perform routine inspection LLF Look Listen and feel lubrication alignment and minor repairs To Learn and Assist Replace gland packing seals bearings couplings and belts To learn and assist in breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance schedules Check and record pressure flow rate voltage and current readings Maintain daily operation and maintenance log books Report abnormal conditions to Operator supervisors or engineers To learn and assist to Support shutdown and startup activities Coordinate with Operators electrical and maintenance teams Following LZAI s best practices SOPs and other safety guidelines Requirements education experience competencies and specific job requirements Fresher ITI pass Education Certification ITI Certificate in Mechanic Pump Operator Fitter Diesel Mechanic Mechanical Trade or equivalent
