We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team of technologists building and maintaining KYC Know-Your-Customer applications for the bank The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the entire software development lifecycle This role involves designing and implementing test plans developing automated test scripts API testing developing AI based testing solutions identifying and documenting defects and working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues The Software Quality Engineer will play a critical role in upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality robust and user-friendly software solutions Key Responsibilities Test Strategy Planning Develop and execute comprehensive test plans test cases and test strategies for new features and existing functionalities Use AI LLM models for test case creation Test Execution Perform various types of testing including functional regression integration performance and system integration testing SIT API testing Use tools to perform API testing Automation Development Design develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages Defect Management Identify document track and prioritize software defects and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and retesting Collaboration Collaborate effectively with product managers developers and other stakeholders to understand requirements provide feedback and ensure quality throughout the SDLC Process Improvement Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes tools and methodologies Reporting Generate clear and concise test reports summaries and metrics to communicate test progress and product quality to stakeholders Risk Assessment Participate in risk assessment and mitigation planning for recent features and releases Documentation Maintain clear and thorough documentation for test plans test cases and test results Qualifications Required Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field Banking or KYC knowledge 8 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing Strong understanding of software QA methodologies tools and processes Proficiency in designing and writing comprehensive test plans and test cases Good hands-on experience with tool-based automated testing including developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks e g Selenium Playwright Cypress JUnit NUnit Pytest Solid programming skills in at least one language e g Python Java Experience with version control systems e g Git Familiarity with Agile Scrum development methodologies Excellent analytical problem-solving and debugging skills Strong communication written and verbal and interpersonal skills Preferred Experience with Artificial Intelligence AI based test case generation Knowledge of continuous integration continuous delivery CI CD pipelines Experience with API testing tools e g Postman SoapUI Familiarity with cloud platforms e g AWS Azure GCP Experience with containerization technologies e g Docker Kubernetes ISTQB certification or similar quality assurance certifications Education Bachelor s University degree or equivalent experience Job Family Group Technology Job Family Technology Quality Time Type Full time Most Relevant Skills Please see the requirements listed above Other Relevant Skills For complementary skills please see above and or contact the recruiter Citi is an equal opportunity employer and qualified candidates will receive consideration without regard to their race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin disability status as a protected veteran or any other characteristic protected by law If you are a person with a disability and need a reasonable accommodation to use our search tools and or apply for a career opportunity review View Citi s and the poster
