Introduction We seek a competent and experienced quantity surveyor to join our team at rsQr Architects As a quantity surveyor you will manage all interior and office fit out project costs from the initial calculations to the final figures Your role will be highly critical in ensuring the financial success of our fit out projects As a vital team member you will work closely with architects engineers contractors and other professionals to manage the project costs and ensure it is completed within the stipulated budget You will be essential to the venture s success by providing expert advice on cost management contract negotiation and procurement Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that construction projects are profitable and financially sustainable We offer a competitive salary a comprehensive advantages package and opportunities for professional growth Objectives of this role Preparation of cost estimates bills of quantities and Submission documents Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms Managing project budgets including forecasting and monitoring costs Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions Provide expert advice on procurement risk management and cost-saving measures Your tasks Understanding the client requirements and quantities take off as per marking and RCP drawings Preparing BOQ bill of quantities by studying specification sheets from the Architect team Identifying gaps between BOQ and drawings specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for a logical closure Monitor and control costs throughout the project identifying cost-saving opportunities Preparing the initial quote and contract for the company Coordination with the design team for analysing architectural and service drawings Manage the valuation of work done and handle claims and variations Preparing interim and final valuations variations and claims of the fit out site Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project outcomes and achieve value for money Required skills and qualifications Bachelor s degree in quantity surveying construction management or a related field 2 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting preferably in the office Fit out industry Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of Interior Fit Out projects Understanding general contracting design-build package contracting value-based project and loading margins and lump sum in commercial fit-out projects Experience working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from the given drawings Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities Proficiency in relevant software Excel Word and tools for quantity surveying Job Types Full-time Walk-In Pay 35 000 00 - 45 000 00 per month Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Commuter assistance Health insurance Leave encashment
