Tech Centers Responsibilities Design develop and maintain data ingestion workflows using DIWF or similar frameworks Build and optimize ETL ELT pipelines for data consolidation normalization indexing and cleaning Develop and manage data models and transformations using DBT Work with large-scale data storage solutions including AWS S3 and Data Lakes Implement and maintain SQL-based data warehouses and bioinformatics databases such as BioSQL Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Flask including asynchronous API endpoints for scalable data access Collaborate with HPC teams to integrate high-performance computing resources for compute-intensive bioinformatics tasks Utilize Databricks and Apache Spark for distributed data processing and analytics Ensure best practices in code quality version control testing and deployment Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists bioinformaticians and cloud engineers Requirements Minimum bachelor s degree in computer science Bioinformatics Data Science or related STEM Science technology engineering and mathematics field Proven experience in data engineering including data ingestion transformation and pipeline development Strong proficiency in Python including experience with Biopython for bioinformatics workflows Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark for big data processing Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2 S3 and EBS Familiarity with High-Performance Computing HPC environments Expertise in SQL and experience working with bioinformatics databases such as BioSQL Experience with DBT for data modeling and transformation Solid skills in developing RESTful APIs using Flask including asynchronous API design Knowledge of data lake architectures and best practices Familiarity with data consolidation normalization indexing and cleaning techniques Experience with version control systems e g Git and CI CD pipelines Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a
